It's fitting to name this ring after the one-way street that starts just outside the Portland Art Museum leading to the river while from the east, SE Madison takes travelers one-way to the famed Hawthorne Bridge.  The black diamond stands as a marker to where the artist created this collection... right on Madison (it holds a pretty special place in her heart).
